Taking a trip to Miami? Not too sure what to pack? Here's some outfit ideas...

Aaaahhhh, Miami. Beautiful, sunny beaches, music, and trendy fashion. Or as others would
describe it; hot, humid, frizzy hair and hectic. That's why it's great to do some research before you start packing! Any who, lets get into why exactly you're reading this post!
As exciting as Miami is, we do have one big trend, and that's fashion! There's so many trends, colors, patterns and more that it can become overwhelming! That's why you should stick to what your aesthetic is. Don't get me wrong, we have all the sorts, from booty shorts to weird, see-through mesh dresses, but that's why I'm here to give you some tips on how to dress fun, and trendy yet keeping it elegant!
Keeping It Classy...

Dresses
What can I say, I'm a sucker for dresses! From short to maxi, I love it all! A popular choice would be florals and bright colors...
Tip 1: Don't let it get distracting. You want people to see you not the dress.
Tip 2: A big mistake that people can make is if that statement dress looks like circus. That being a short, unflattering, piece of floss in your crack. You want your dress to hug your curves in all the right spots, not the unflattering ones!
Tip 3: BE YOU. Make sure it fits your style, and that YOU feel comfortable in it. That being, walking around in it, and feeling confident!

Tops and Blouses
Miami all year round is hot. In the winter it can be in the 60's-70's, (degree weather), however in spring and summer, Miami skyrockets to 70s-90's, (degree weather). That's why its important to pack light comfortable tops and blouses that can keep you cool. The best materials are natural fibers, (cottons and linens). These two fabrics are the best options because they are breathable! Stay away from hotter fabrics like synthetics! As cute as they can look, these fabrics are not breathable for the hot weather. However, one exception that I love and saves space are one- piece bathing suits used as tops!

Bottoms
As previously stated, heat, fabrics, style, and colors that are your personal style, should be considered when packing. So now, we have to review these elements when selecting bottoms. Choosing bottoms are quite simple, bring one pair of jeans, and linen pants. Possibly two skirts, maybe one patterned and one plain, so you can mix and match, (depending on how long you are staying). Additionally, consider appropriate shorts for the trip! Miami can be very busy and crowded depending on the area, so keep in mind an appropriate length and style!
Accessories and Bags
A lot of walking is involved in the trip to bring comfortable shoes and bags! My go-to shoes are plain fashion sneakers or flat sandals that can be worn with numerous outfits. Additionally, if going out, I love to bring block heeled sandals. As cute at those strappy stilettos are, your feet are going to thank you in the long run when you bring comfortable shoes!
When thinking about bags and jewelry, I love to mix and match styles!
From shoulder straps, crossbody, to woven bags,
comfortable and small bags are the way to go.
Neutrals or pops of color are a great way to elevate

your outfits! Try not to bring big bulky bags as there are a lot of sketchy areas in Miami. As for jewelry, I love elegant pieces, however, the lighter the better. Costume jewelry or dainty jewelry is a great idea to not draw attention to you, (as previously stated, there are sketchy areas). Faux jewelry is a great way to have more fun with your outfits without worrying about the financial cost or dangerous areas.
With that said, have fun with your outfits and wear what you feel comfortable in! Feeling confident and stylish is important for you to have fun on your trip! Stay safe and most importantly...HAVE FUN!
